2015; The year to be surprised by God.

This is going to be an exciting year. It's already started off with a bang and with me starting up in full time ministry, God has already surprised me with new friendships and encouragement about the vision He has given to me for my life.

As you may see from some of my previous blogs my heart and vision is for the lost to be found and to encourage those who know God to go out and make disciples. And now I am ready to pursue it full time, all the time.

My Pastor Bernhard Wewege has delivered a great prophetic word of expectation for our Church and as individuals for this year. "Surprised by God". After all God has done and all I am stepping into this year, because of what God has told me, I am grabbing onto this with both hands! There is nothing more exciting and no other way I want to live than to embrace, via faith, the things that God has for me.

The choice to do what God has asked my wife and I to do has not been easy or simple. Ministry is not a 'cruisy' job (my wife has done it for 10 years) and can seem like a risk when I am leaving another career behind. But we are taking the chance. Always bet on God. He has never let me down, ever.

If God has given you a vision for this year or for your life, it will take you stepping out as a sign of trust to God, but we are fully expecting God to surprise the pants off us with what and how He will fulfill His purpose and plan for us!

When deciding what to do I said to my wife;

"God has asked us to jump off the cliff and trust that He will catch us. Will you hold my hand and jump with me?"

I don't know how He is going to catch us, but I am ready to be surprised.

“But you, Israel, are my servant. You’re Jacob, my first choice, descendants of my good friend Abraham. I pulled you in from all over the world, called you in from every dark corner of the earth, telling you ‘You’re my servant, serving on my side. I’ve picked you. I haven’t dropped you.’ Don’t panic. I’m with you. There’s no need to fear for I’m your God. I’ll give you strength, I’ll help you. I’ll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you.” Isaiah 41:8-10.
